Instituto Alfa Elementary School in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico is changing lives and transforming futures through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a great education!

Jes and I lived in Puerto Escondido serving as the principles of Instituto Alfa. We saw day-to-day how the teachers and directors of the school share the hope of Jesus, counsel kids and families in crisis, and teach all the subjects with excellence.​

What makes Instituto Alfa special?

• We are a Christian school, centered on the Word of God and a Biblical worldview.  Instituto Alfa is a Special Place!!! The presence of God is here, the love of Jesus is tangible, and lives are being transformed day by day.
• ​Most of our children do not come from Christian homes. But at school they are receiving Christ as their Savior, being discipled, and going out as salt and light into their homes and in our city.
• Oaxaca has one of the worst education systems in all of Mexico. BUT the children at Instituto Alfa receive an excellent education, giving them a big advantage from an early age.
• Our children are learning English. This is a tremendous benefit!
• Our children are learning technology, working with online programs, computers, and tablets every day. Our math and reading curriculum are almost entirely online.
• Our students love school. Seriously! Their parents tell us this and so do the children.
